Findling's Finds

[Sunday Brunchday]

Lazy Sundays are for brunching and appropriately so… we brunched. Kait, Fran and I decided to grab breakfast on the Upper East Side late Sunday morning at a place we discovered by accident because we never have the foresight to get to Sarabeth’s in time and then quickly realize we do not want to wait 45 more minutes for food.

Le Paris – Bistro Francais

Speaking from a French person’s point of view, Le Paris has actual french food. Proof was in the syrup, I spotted my favorite Teisseire brand on the way in and decided this place was vetted by me. [Note: for those of you who aren’t familiar, most French kids add Teisseire syrups to their water, usually mint or grenadine] Also in the world of fun facts, it seems that they won a Diner’s Choice Award from Opentable for 2010 so I guess its a small shame we’ve only had brunch there.
Anyways, back to brunch. Here is our official introduction of my other roommate Fran (with a black & white pic as all the colors were blown out, happy accidents)

Fran.

We had a bit of everything that morning since we couldn’t stop ourselves from having the prix fixe and they have the best creme caramel in town. Photos below with food captions in case you get a chance to go.

First day of fall weather!

Kait, pre- Wanderlust Yoga event on the pier

Fran’s “bad side”

Bloody Mary’s and Bellinis

Kait’s Croque Madame

Butter and espresso

My Crepe Savoyarde (goat cheese, swiss cheese & chives)

Fran’s toast

Thus as I’ve been going to loads of French restaurants of late I would suggest the brunch prix fixe at $18 on a Saturday or Sunday or the pre-theater pre-fixe for dinner which is only as it happens $19. Happy dining!
